I'm an avid collector of books on models and model companies and I found this to be a good addition to my library. This book covers the history of Revell Germany, and as such, provides an interesting reference when compared against my book on Revell USA. First, the quality of the book is excellent, great photos, and well done overall. Also, it was a written by an employee of Revell who spent his entire career with the company. He is passionate about the company and it shows in his writing. I found the history and anecdotes interesting, especially the interactions between Revell USA and Germany. This volume also covers some of the different product lines of Revell Germany, not just the model lines. On the negative side, there are some small section devoted to current and past company leadership that sounds as if they were written by the PR department, I did not find that content useful, and could have been replaced with product listings or additional product photos. Also, there is no comprehensive listing of the model lines, which I would have liked. Overall, a very good book that provides a comprehensive history of Revell Germany and fills a gap in my library.

Good book, very useful in study of classical Jewish texts. If you are a hard core student of Jewish text, this is a great addition to your library.

Even though there are a great number of electronic language tools out there, sometimes it is nice to get away and do hands-on translation with a grammar and a lexicon. This lexicon is a fantastic abridgment of a much larger work. The newest edition has very nice glosses with a concise listing for each word. The word is given along with a number of examples of the different forms it may appear, greatly helping identification of either nouns or verbs. The primary meanings are also listed and in bold. The book is also arranged in alphabetical order according to the Hebrew, so just isolate the root and beginning letter, and you should be good to go.Overall, I highly recommend this lexicon for hands-on translation.

It was a required text for my hebrew class. Shipping was slow because of Korean import regulations and complications (I live in Seoul, Korea). Amazon's part in the shipping was great.The book is effective in translating. The dust jacket is far from sturdy and rips with ease. The paper is of good quality, highlighters do not bleed through very much. The type is neat and accurate. It is a little difficult to find some variant forms of words, but that may speak more to my skill and familiarity with the book than to it's format.

I use this book to help me locate a form and then I can use my full-sized Brown Driver Briggs Lexicon for the deeper meaning. It serves good use for those who occasionally need to do word studies, a good reference book. But for some serious work - get the Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon.

I highly recommend this Concise Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon by William L. Holladay. I am a regular user of it. It is well set-out, and the amount of information in even each entry is amazing. Considering the amount of work, skill and learning that was needed to produce such a Lexicon, we ie the Students of Hebrew, have been handed a Study-Tool that should be snapped-up immediately. And the price tag alone should tell you to buy it!! Thanks to Amazon for making these bargains so available. The serious Student has it all before him- I can lead you to the water, but I can't make you drink!!! A suggestion: what about a companion Lexicon: English to Hebrew Lexicon. This Lexicon is a delight to use. Ignotus.

My husband loves doing Bible study and looking into word meanings in the original languages. This book helps him in his Old Testament studies.

This is best reference for intermediate to advanced students of Hebrew who are actually interested in learning to read biblical Hebrew. Yes, you could use online tools to hover your mouse over the word you need, but you will not actually learn biblical Hebrew that way. If you are serious about learning Hebrew, you actually need to spend some time struggling through the lexicon and figure out the root of the word on your own. You will not learn to read the text by hovering your mouse over a web page or using a computer program.Holladay falls between the BDB and HALOT. For translation exercises and exams, I start with Holladay. I almost always find what I need. When the passage is particularly difficult or unclear, I'll crack open the BDB, which takes even more time to slog through.Again, using a computer program WILL NOT help you learn Hebrew: it convinces one that he or she is better than they actually are! (I found this out the hard way on an exam!)

For any student of the Hebrew Bible desiring to have an affordable, accurate and handy Hebrew Lexicon, William Holladay's Lexicon is the perfect choice. Holladay includes the conjugations of every Hebrew verb and notes that feature the most update research that has come out of comparative Semitic studies. Amazingly, Holladay fits such features in a user-friendly volume that gives a busy pastor like me the opportunity to do better at exegeting the Hebrew text.

Nice and concise. It isn't as elaborate as Bown Drivers Briggs but it is easier as it follows the Hebrew alphabet and not the root verb

This is an incredibly interesting book. As someone who has begun waist training I found the medical information especially pertinent. It is all well written and seems to be a very reliable source for information.

This is the best book on corsets I have ever read. It is a fascinating look at not only the history of the corset itself but also the history of the people who wore them.

This book was beautifully put together and extremely informative about the beginnings of the corset. If you're interested in corsetry, knowing where it came from and how it has evolved through the centuries is almost paramount in discovering what styles you like best!! I give it 2 thumbs up!!!
