The series was amazing. I always tell my daughter that every story deserves to be told no matter what it is sharing. I look forward to reading this one with her when she is older. A masterful work of fiction that echoes themes from our everyday lives. I highly recommend the entire series to anyone no matter their preferred genre.

Jay is very lyrical in his writing. If that's not your thing, this isn't your book. He bring the world to life with his descrpitions, and the play on today's environment echoed in the plot is phenomenal. I was worried about the whole talk to animal super power, but it was so well done and perfect to the story that it made perfect sense. If say read it!

This series was hard to get into at first because of all of the Japanese terminology, but it was worth it. The story wasn't all sunshine and roses. It was true and deep and the symbology is something that will leave you thinking for a while. I love this series and would recommend it to anyone.

Great series, easy read. well wrote and lots of vivid detail and imagery. Nice blend of the Steampunk genre with Japanese culture. Recommended read for any fan of either steampunk or fantasy novels

...Life sucks, and then it gets better, and then it sucks again.:::And that pretty much sums up the roller coaster ride of this book.People I thought would live died, people I thought would die lived. I mean along the way so many have been killed I knew that not everyone would make it to the end.There are some great happy hopeful moments in this. There are also so fantastically tragic ones. Then there are the moments you knew were coming and still you weren't sure you were ready for them. I was not ready for some of them.But the characters in this were never all good or all bad. There were shades of grey to everyone and some had the chance to rise to heroics and failed while others soared.I really like how well thought out this trilogy seems. This last book really incorporated all the lore from the prior books so well to the big bad battle at the end for all the world.At a signing I went to Jay Kristoff said (and I'm totally paraphrasing here)"I love writing the last book in a series. It's like you've built up all your sand castles and that is when you get to come in the kick them all down."You could tell that this last book wasn't a chore and that in the end he had a plan. That this was the fun part of it for him. Even though there was a ton of death and destruction in this, I think he ended it in a fantastic way that was completely perfect for the story he told.Possibly more details to come....but I really don't want to give away any of the surprises of it so probably not.

I enjoyed this series very much. I love the steampunk, plus Asian style that was put into it. Really loved the characters. Some parts of the plot were predictable but not all. It definitely kept me going for all three books and was sad to see it end.

this book is 3rd of trilogy. book one has a slow start through first 50 pages and I almost stopped reading but I am soooo glad I kept reading. I would have missed out on such great trilogy. The unexpected ending broke my heart but it was worth every moment.

I thought at first that I wasn't up for three large books of fantasy in a row, but the author built such a collection of truly engaging characters that I just couldn't stop. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I have often thought of sitting on my "back porch" in heaven, having conversations with those who walked side-by-side with Jesus. This unique book brings it to light for me. It's a real page-turner that I didn't expect. The author has the ability to tackle weighty topics (like prayer, faith, failure, love) in a fictional framework that makes it easy to understand. I highly recommend you read it.

I see what the author tried to do, but she tried a little too hard. I like Dark romances. Honestly with few exceptions, I like a little of everything. One of the few exceptions would be demeaning acts involving urine or feces. Newsflash authors. Poop comes out of the butt. It is in no way, shape, or form attractive to have your “alpha male” H order a female to finish him by sucking him off when pulls out after “taking her as&.” Anal sex goes a lot farther up there than a quick toss of the salad so to speak. It was over for me at that point and I still can’t stop the nausea and grimacing. Maybe it’s part of my being a nurse, but all I can think of is E. coli... Who would find that sexy? Anal sex= good. Blow jobs =good. Anal Sex blow job = bad, got it?

Author B.B. Hamel is an amazing writer. Her easy-to-read prose is both emotionally descriptive and sensual. Readers get to see, hear, taste and touch when consuming one of her novels or novellas. “HIS TASTE” is a perfect example. While the blurb entices readers with rumors and a touch of Hamel’s sensual style, what it doesn’t present is the remarkable skill Hamel uses to develop characters so richly they belie the length of the manuscript and seem more real and deeper than any character in a novella has a right to be. Then we have to add the coup de gras to Hamel’s compelling prose and those memorable characters. It is, of course, B.B. Hamel’s ability to string readers along, offering just the right amount of information to keep them at the pinnacle of tension and glued to the plot until the last word is consumed! And, there were times when I had to remind myself of the promised HEA since “HIS TASTE” is a bit darker and deals with some of the real issues of Mental Health. I voluntarily read a copy of “HIS TASTE” and this is my honest, voluntary review. As a practice, I do not give more than 4 stars to a novella, but “HIS TASTE” is just too good to limit. So, that extra ½ star has to be added. I STRONGLY suggest that you purchase your copy of “HIS TASTE” today! Happy pages! 😉

I would describe this book as a dark, erotic, Thriller. Love the really hot sex, very well described, great dirty talk. I found I couldn't put the book down until each and every secret was revealed. The more I learned about the characters the more I wanted to know. I will definitely be rereading this one.

This was a quick raunchy read. The sex was quick and the character were serial killing psychos! There was not enough story to love or hate this one.

I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of His Taste by B.B. Hamel. Each book she writes just gets better and better with every book. The story was hot and steamy with phenomenal characters that will have you instantly in love with them. This is a definite must read.

There is definitely something about a small town with secrets, rumors and lies and the hero trying to save it! Case is that hero but will he have to give up his own happiness & his love for Eden in the process? This book delivers everything, SEX, love, lies, SEX, rumors, murders, cover ups and more sex! Some of the twists you see coming, but others have you on the edge of your seat. Definitely read this book, you won't be disappointed.

I do like dark romances but I wasn’t expecting something like this from this author. The scenes were steamy but kind of twisted. Very graphic and raw, but a bit too dirty for me. Some parts pushed my limits for the unsanitary/unhealthy things they did so instead of it being erotic, it was kind of gross and had the opposite effect.The author did a good job with the compelling theme and the craziness that fills the household that Eden is thrust into. The themes were very dark and I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about Eden and how she easily accepted everything when the final climax to the story occurred. She really wasn’t traumatized at all.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Awesome book! As challenging as it must be to foster many different children with varied personalities, backgrounds, needs, etc, another factor that carers must frequently deal with is that of the parents when they are searching to find fault with everything the carer does. It must be so hard to constantly be have in the back of your mind how the parent could take any little event out of content and possibly even make a complaint. But Cathy handles everything and everyone with such poise and class, even when its non deserving. She has the patience of a saint!

I loved this book because, like all of Cathy's books it grabs your heart and doesn't let go even after you finish it. She has such a heart and love being a foster parent. She loves the children as if they were her own but, knows where to draw the line.This book will open your eyes to what real love is all about.

Please read this wonderful book. Its a story of Max, a 6 yr. Old boy in foster care and his birth family. He is overweight and friendless and tries to compensate for his lonliness by reading. Cathy and her children changed his life little by little. This is a must read. Be sure and read the book to the surprising end. You won't be disappointed!

As usual, I was touched and felt for this little boy, Max. I am so happy his story ended, somewhat, happily. I am also glad his mother finally saw worth in herself.Catht Glass is amazing in how she is open to everyone involved. One can tell she really cares for all her children.

You can't help but love Max. What a sweet little boy. Despite some wrong decisions his mum made she no doubt loved him and sadly had enough of her own trauma to live with. Once again Cathy shows what a wonderful and caring person she is
