When I say this is genuinely the best book I have read on putting together and marketing a Kickstarter as an independent creator, I'm not being hyperbolic. This is about the fifth book I've read wit Kickstarter advice, and it's by far the best. I've run three successful Kickstarters based on this book. It's simple, clear, direct, wise, and helpful.

After failing to achieve my goal three times... I bought the 1st Edition after discovering the author on Facebook when I was researching "How To's" on Kickstarter for my own campaign. What I learned from this book is invaluable. Not only did my Kickstarter campaign hit goal, but went on to earn over $1,000 more! (Stretch Goals!) I highly recommend this book if you're interested in crowdfunding or how it works.
I was really worried going at my first kickstarter. I had heard Madeleine speaking on a podcast about running a Kickstarter so I gave her book a shot and I'm very glad I did.There are little nuances you don't generally think about when going at your Kickstarter for the first time and she laid a lot of that out pretty clearly.I can now officially say I have launched a successful kickstarter for my own comic book- but I really don't know if it would have been a success or not without this book.Absolutely recommended.
