Never have I read a book of this kind that breaks down Psalms 23 in the way Mr. Morgan does.There was no need for this author to mention that he is a pastor, because it shows in this writing. The way words and clarity he uses to show readers how Psalms 23 does everything it says.Quoting Dr. Robert C. McQuilkin, infusing them with heartwarming stories and following them up with scripture gives comfort to many. Kudos to Robert J. Morgan.Literary Wonders received a free copy of this book from Howard Books, for our honest review. The opinions expressed here are our reviewers own.
This review is on the kindle edition.I am not very far into this book and really love it. The author has done an amazing job that has truly touched my heart. Since I deal with chronic illness I needed something like this to uplift my heart. And it delivers all that so far.HOWEVER, very early in the book there is a serious flaw. Once again, I am finding a book that has had very poor editing for the kindle. This book deserves better than that. Thankfully I paid only $3 for it. I hope I won't find anymore of these "editing" errors in the rest of the book.

I completed the reading today, underlining many sentences, thrilling to Rob Morgan's insights and memories as a Pastor, world traveller, family man, author, sheep owner and soul-searcher. I savored more truths from my favorite Psalm than I ever thought possible. Rob Morgan's research is broad and the message is clear as verse by verse is examined in depth and made relevant to us living busy anxious lives in today's unsettled world.This is THE book to give or share with everyone you know that is open to receiving knowledge of how to achieve peace and inspiration from a reading journey thru Psalm 23. Who would have thought this famous Psalm about the shepherd (God) leading His sheep (us)could be woven into a 191 page book filled with timeless truths, interesting facts about sheep (and even sheep dogs) and shepherds in various parts of the world. Personal stories add to the richness of this message of comfort. Yes, others have written their own thoughts on Psalm 23 over the years, however, this lively book is the best, especially for today's audience. Young people especially will have no difficulty relating, I can assure you.Verse by verse this short Psalm is explained in ways beyond my imagination - the writing is beautiful, the insights are encouraging, the invitation to follow our Shepherd (God) in faith and trust is a gentle persuasion! Read the book, read it aloud to your children, or to those in hospitals or nursing homes; grasp the true meaning of "resting in the peace and power of Psalm 23".
A lady at our Church had given me her book to read, but I ordered this one, because it is so good. My husband has Dementia with Lewy Bodies, and this is one I know I will read many times. It makes me thankful that I love my Lord, and that He loves and cares for me! A wonderful book for anyone that is facing some of life's trials.
I really enjoyed looking at Psalm 23 through Robert Morgan's eyes with my Book Study Group. Robert's new book" Biblical Meditation is deepening my Christian walk and relationship with the Lord through a systematic contemplation of God's word.
I absolutely love this book. Robert Morgan is a very good author. I am just a normal Christian woman and not a book critic. However I like his writing and have most of his books now I think. This was given to me when I needed to find peace in my life. I highly recommend it.
This is such a lovely book. I read a copy from my library, and purchased it as a gift for my grandson. What words of comfort it contains, and explains in detail Psalm 23. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
I wanted to give this 5 stars because I received this book just as promised. The reason I can't give 5 is the LARGE print. I am in a bible study and my pages don't align with everyone else pages so when we are having a discussion I can't find where they are. You need to advertise this as a Large Print Version. If I had known I wouldn't have purchased it.
David Jeremiah promoted this book on Turning Point; so I bought one, read it, meditated on it, and put in on my favorite book of the year list! I'm reading it again right now. Also, I'm on my way to buying a dozen more to give out to my friends and family and telling them that this book is Soul Food! Heaven knows that we live in times, and we are all going through trials that give us a desperate need for that Food to Feed our Souls! It's a very uplifting book!
